ABOUT ME

Ba’Leigh Burns attended Texas Christian University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a double major in Anthropology. While at TCU she could frequently be found on the field as a TCU ranger during football season. Her love for Anthropology lead her to spending a month camping out in Alaska on an archaeological field school where she unearthed a mammoth tusk.

She later attended the University of Texas at Tyler where she received her master's degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in trauma and completed her practicum at a children’s advocacy center where she counseled children who had experienced various types of abuse.

While volunteering and shadowing psychologists at the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Big Spring Texas 10 years ago Ba’Leigh saw the need for PTSD awareness. She has used her platform “All the Way Home” to advocate for veterans, spread awareness about PTSD, and help connect veterans to available resources.

In her free time Ba’Leigh enjoys being underwater as a certified scuba diver, she even did a Tiger Shark dive in Fiji. You may also find her feeding cows on her family’s  ranch one of her favorite places to be. She loves sharing her love of the outdoors and the western lifestyle with others. She is currently working as a trauma therapist counseling first responders, veterans, and children, as well as teaching resiliency trainings and peer support.
